This project aims at promoting safe, healthy and declared work in Ukraine.
It will support Ukraine improving compliance with key international labour standards on occupational safety and health (OSH) and to reduce undeclared work (UDW).
The project will assist in drafting the legal acts aligning national legislation on OSH with relevant International Labour Organization (ILO) Conventions and EU Directives, will provide technical support for the improvement and rollout of the labour inspection legal framework and will promote among workers and employers and their representative associations the transition from undeclared to declared work.
It is expected that, by the end of the project, the legal framework on OSH will be better aligned with the international labour standards and labour inspection system and procedures are able to better ensure the promotion and enforcement of compliance with legislation.

1. Legal framework on OSH and undeclared work is brought closer to EU and International Labour Standards
Under this outcome, the project will support the drafting and advocacy of laws to adequately and sustainably transpose 8 OSH Directives and flexible work regimes Directives (to fight UDW), foreseen in Article 424 and Annex XL to Chapter 21 of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement, and applicable ILO Conventions and Recommendations.

2. Systems and procedures for a roll-out of labour inspection services are in place
Under this outcome the project will be focused on fostering the alignment of the national system of labour inspection with the International Labour Standards (ILS) on labour inspection (ILO Conventions 81 and 129), especially in what concerns the recruitment, training and powers of labour inspectors.

• The updated national legal framework on OSH and labour relations contributes to increased safety and health at work.
• The implemented measures of Action plan to tackle undeclared work contributed to reduction of undeclared work in Ukraine.
• The labour inspection system, guided by the revised legal framework and equipped with the new tools, contribute to better compliance with the national legislation on OSH and labour relations.
