The EU Diplomatic Programme for the enlargement region

Descrierea

The 'EUDP' is a five-month residential programme designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of diplomats and officials from the Enlargement Countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo, the Republic of Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Ukraine and Türkiye) on the EU’s external action and accession process.

The programme will run until 2028 and will train up to 90 diplomats and officials across 6 editions. Each cohort will foresee up to 15 participants; a total of up to 90 participants will benefit from this action.

The programme of each cohort will be structured as follows:

1. The first four months will be dedicated to classroom teaching and study visits to the EEAS headquarters and other EU and Member States’ structures related to European external action and foreign and security policy, and include joint activities with the EUDA group as well as social activities.

2. Each edition will then foresee one month of specialised training for the participants of this action only. No activities will be foreseen jointly with EUDA during that period. The training of that month will focus on accession policies and processes, including study visits in particular to the European Commission DG ENEST.
