Vergush is from the Gorayk village of the Syunik region. She holds a Bachelor in International Relations and currently works as an office manager. She is a Board member of one of the largest youth Non-governmental Organisations (NGOs) in Armenia and the Federation of Youth Clubs of Armenia. She is an intern at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as well, and she actively engages with gender equality issues. She is also an active member of her community and is a co-founder of Gorayk Youth Center.
