Sopiko holds a Bachelor degree in International Relations with a focus on Europe and the Middle East, and is the winner of the full scholarship for a Master’s programme in Political Science at İstanbul Üniversitesi (Istanbul University). During her undergraduate studies in Tbilisi, she volunteered at the Georgian National Library, the Georgian Sustainable Development Association youth non-governmental organisation and the Civic Education Teachers Forum. She has been working with students of different ethnic origins at “International Maarif Schools Georgia” since 2019. Sopiko has also published numerous articles related to Georgia and Turkey and has taken part in many conferences related to non-formal education activities. In addition, she is also actively involved in such activities, for example, the “National Security and Media Communications’’ GSAC training programme. She is very passionate about travel, different cultures and learning languages, and already speaks English, Turkish, and Russian and has a beginner level of French.

EU NEIGHBOURS east is implemented by a GOPA PACE-led consortium. It is part of the larger Neighbourhood Communication Programme (2020-2024) for the EU's Eastern and Southern Neighbourhood, which also includes 'EU NEIGHBOURS south’ project that runs the EU Neighbours portal.
