After graduating from Maastricht University in the Netherlands with a Bachelor’s degree in European Studies I decided to first complete my traineeship at the Asia-Europe Foundation in Singapore and then intern at the Human Rights Council at the United Nations Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. I hope to continue my studies with a Master in European Law in September 2019. Apart from my studies, I volunteer as a young journalist for various online newspapers and as the project coordinator of the European Youth Press. Here, I am responsible for Orange Magazine. The organisation provides an interactive multimedial platform for media coverage of international conferences. With regard to the EU’s relationship with Eastern Partner countries, I believe that we shall not underestimate the growing importance of civil society as a crucial player providing additional space for action in the governance system. Through my role as a Young European Ambassador I would like to actively contribute to strenghthening civil society to become an ever more powerful source of social and political capital in areas related to youth and education.
