Diana is currently studying banking in her hometown, but aside from her studies she has a wide range of interests. She is actively involved in community activities, volunteering projects and is interested in non-formal education and self development. Diana is eager to explore new things through her new role as a young European Ambassador.

Hrachya Sahakyan

Hrachya is a young professional passionate about labor policies, environment and diversity. Hrachya co-founded an environmental movement, Maqoor, that brings together an inclusive network of young individuals to address the environmental challenges of their communities. Having strong desires to broaden his experiences, Hrachya seeks to participate in wide range of projects and programs. For instance, in 2021-2022, he represented his country, Armenia in the U.S. with the FLEX program. He looks forward to his latest role as a Young European Ambassador.

Arsen Sahakyan

Arsen is a tech enthusiast and a community leader from Gyumri, the second city of Armenia, who has worked as a programmer, taught programming, and managed projects at local and international companies. He continuously pushes himself to think of the bigger picture and pursue his dreams through life-long learning and community development. He works hard to get a quality education abroad and return to his country with an innovative technological startup to develop the high-tech field there. Arsen looks forward to honing his soft skills through the Young European Ambassadors’ initiative.

Gevorg Raisyan

Gevorg is an ambitious and enterprising young man who runs a business. He shares the views of the EU and is sure that democracy, the power of law, transparency, equal rights, justice, respect and courtesy are the fundamental factors that make the country stronger. He also values the ability of free choice which lets people make smart decisions about what relations are healthy and needed. That’s why he’s here, joining the EU community.

Mariam Petrosyan

Mariam is a super-extroverted and enthusiastic person planning to major in Economics. Beyond that, she has been the Armenian Delegation representative in UNICEF Innovation in Sweden and actively devotes herself to gender equality and inclusion. As she has been given the chance to be a part of huge family, she intends to foster her own skills which will be the artifacts of creating more sustainable, diverse and tolerant communities in the future. Mariam greatly looks forward to her new role as Young European Ambassador.

Rafael Papyan

Siuzanna Noroian

Siuzanna is a fourth-year student at Yerevan State University, reading International Relations and Diplomacy. She contributes to global perspectives through her participation in EU model simulations and Erasmus+ projects. Her analytical skills were showcased in her internship at a fact-checking organization, where she scrutinized the EU mission in Armenia. Beyond academics, Siuzanna is committed to humanitarian causes, volunteering at international events in Armenia and working with refugees at the KASA Swiss Humanitarian Foundation. Edmon Nazaryan

Edmon considers himself to be a future green entrepreneur, and is currently a student of Business Administration at the American University of Armenia. He is proud of his background in project management with three years of hands-on experience. Beyond academia, he initiates socioeconomic change, investing time as a devoted volunteer for a better world. Edmon volunteered for the Red Cross, World Vision, and UNDP, believing that cooperative action and collaborative decision-making of young individuals across the globe are the keys to developing an active, engaged, and meaningful society.

Laura Mnatsakanyan

Laura is studying at Oshakan Secondary School. She is a member of “Uniting Bridge” non-governmental organization and an active volunteer at “EuroClub Oshakan”. Laura wants to become a doctor but also has other interests, such as learning new languages and exploring new cultures. She even managed to become one of the leaders of the “AngloBridge for Kids” English-speaking club at EuroClub Oshakan. Laura looks forward to her new role as a Young European Ambassador.

Nare Mirzoyan

  • Current residence: Armenia
Nare is a high school student, actively involved in school and community life. She was the president of the school’s student council for two terms. Nare is interested in politics and was an alumni of the Access program. She also cooperates with the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia as a volunteer and a graduate of the summer school program. Nare believes that becoming a Young European Ambassador will give her the opportunity to expand her horizons, to create new connections and make positive changes.

Razmik Mirzoyan

Razmik graduated from Artashes Shahinyan Physmath School, and aspires to pursue his Bachelor degree in Computer Science. Razmik is keenly interested in every field of science, from natural sciences to philosophy, politics to history. Fluent in three languages, he actively engages in diverse activities and volunteering. Through the Young European Ambassadors’ initiative, Razmik aims to use his voice to effect positive change in society, recognising that young people, with their immense potential, play a crucial role in contributing to societal progress.

Harutyun Mirzakhanyan

Harut is currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science with a minor in Gender Studies at the American University of Armenia (AUA). As an official member of the European Youth Parliament Armenia, he has actively engaged in EYP conferences across a variety of countries, including Georgia, Armenia, Spain, Italy, and Finland. Beyond his academic pursuits, Harut is an avid enthusiast of geography with a particular fondness for maps. Madlen Minasyan

  • Country of origin: Armenia
  • Current residence: Armenia
Madlen is a speech therapist and works in a rehabilitation center helping children and young people overcome their speech problems. Madlen is also a youth worker of the youth social organisation “WE”, contributing to the development of skills and abilities of young people in various rural communities of Lori region. Within the framework of the EU4Youth Alumni program, she implemented the “Youth4Spitak” program, contributing to the professional orientation of students living in the enlarged Spitak community.

Robert Melqonyan

Robert is currently completing his secondary school studies and is planning to English and Communication at higher education level. He is an active youth worker in “Yeghvard NGO” and “YouthMix” organisations. His leisure time is spent on discovering new things by volunteering and participating in different Erasmus + exchange projects. He is interested in psychology and American fantasy movies such as TVD. He believes that through kindness is key to solving global challenges. He became a Young European Ambassador to facilitate more opportunities for his country’s people.

Raisa Melkumyan

  • Current residence: Armenia
Raisa is a dedicated student at Komitas State Conservatory, and passionately explores jazz, folk, and sacred Armenian melodies. Beyond music, she is an active volunteer, a member of an NGO where she supports charities helping the elderly, children and people in need. Committed to societal improvement, she addresses environmental issues, advocates for human rights of displaced people, and engages in events on these topics. Raisa also aspires to expand her linguistic horizons, valuing diverse languages for connection and understanding.

This website is managed by the EU-funded Regional Communication Programme for the Eastern Neighbourhood ('EU NEIGHBOURS east’), which complements and supports the communication of the Delegations of the European Union in the Eastern partner countries, and works under the guidance of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, and the European External Action Service. EU NEIGHBOURS east is implemented by a GOPA PACE-led consortium. It is part of the larger Neighbourhood Communication Programme (2020-2024) for the EU's Eastern and Southern Neighbourhood, which also includes 'EU NEIGHBOURS south’ project that runs the EU Neighbours portal.
