Élise Maréchal

Élise is a 21-year-old French master’s student in European Studies at Sciences Po Strasbourg! She’s currently doing a thesis on EU-Georgia relations. Élise is also president of Voix d’Europe, a student association of my university promoting the debate of ideas on European issues. In the future, she’d like to work in European affairs, whether for EU institutions or a research institute, in the field of external relations.

Chloé Titaud

Chloé is currently doing an internship in Riga, Chloé Titaud is a Master’s degree student in Science Po Lyon. She’s very interested in eastern cultures and international relations. She took part in many intercultural projects through her volunteer experience in MUN, Erasmus and so on, and wishes to continue this way.

Anna Romanovská

Anna holds a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and History from the University of Exeter and is currently working to complete her Master’s in East European Studies at UCL. Based in London, she spends much of her time working to improve her understanding of the Central and Eastern European region in the UK. Her interests include the democratic resilience of the CEE region, as well as the impact of disinformation on wider society.

Ozer Sahoglu

Ozer Sahoglu is a young Cypriot activist originating from Nicosia, Cyprus. His engagement with civil society and activism has been started at the age of thirteen. Since then he is actively promoting peace, and human rights, and advocated the resolution of the ongoing Cypriot conflict on a peaceful common ground under United Nations resolutions. He is currently studying at Tilburg University in the Netherlands where is also serving as the chair of the UNICEF Student Team Tilburg.

Danijel Bačan

Danijel Bačan is a second-year master’s student in geography in Zagreb. He is studying spatial planning and regional development and is a teacher’s master to become a geography professor. He is the winner of the scholarship for the excellence of the Zagreb County in 2022 and he is the winner of the Rector’s award in 2021 for his work on the political situation of the Western Balkans. Martin Penov

Martin is a young Bulgarian activist in his final year of Politics & International Relations at the University of Manchester. In 2020 he took part in relaunching the Young European Movement UK, advocating for closer ties with the EU as its International Officer & Vice-President, as well as founding its Manchester branch. He launched the UoM Students’ Union’s Ukraine campaign and took part in numerous local charity initiatives. Outside the UK, Martin sits on the Danube Youth Council of the EUSDR and writes for The New Federalist about society and politics in Eastern Europe and the Balkans.

Jules Bigot

Currently on Erasmus in Prague for his third year of the Bachelor’s degree, Jules Bigot studies at SciencesPo Paris and specializes in the European Union and Central and Eastern Europe. Having grown up in a very European environment in Brussels, Jules has always been driven by the desire to meet new people and talk about Europe. That is why he got involved in various EU-related initiatives such as This Time I’m Voting, JEF Europe, Le Taurillon, Europe Direct and now the Young European Ambassadors initiative.

Kristof Van den Branden

Kristof holds a bachelor’s degree in Geography and is currently getting a Joint Master Degree in Sustainable Territorial Development. With roots in Eastern Europe and two Erasmus experiences, an interest in all cultures does not have to be proven. As a YEA, he wants to use his experience in various voluntary organizations to improve the future of the EU and its neighbours.

Paulius Jakubčionis

Paulius is a young public activist in Lithuania. Having accumulated and still accumulating experience in international organizations, in domestic policy communication, in the formulation of political strategies, Paulius is also active in the EU Neighbors East program. Currently, he is the Coordinator for the Baltic States Group and takes care and ensures that direct communication with Eastern European countries and the Baltic countries is wider. Leadership, communication, and perseverance are the added values that help Paulius do his job best.

Rose Antonia Dahl

Rose Dahl is an international student of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme from Germany. She is currently involved in several activities, such as guiding international exchange students through their programmes, participating in Model United Nations Conferences and volunteering as a journalist for a local newspaper.

Tanguy Martignolles

After having studied political science for three years at Sciences Po Lyon (France), Tanguy is a current Erasmus Mundus Master’s candidate in Central & East European, Russian & Eurasian Studies at the Universities of Tartu and Glasgow. During his studies, Tanguy had the opportunity to do an exchange semester at the Higher School of Economics of Moscow (online due to the Covid-19 pandemic) and to complete an Erasmus exchange at the University of Vilnius in Lithuania. Ambroise Lescop

Ambroise Lescop is a graduate with two Master’s degrees in political sciences and international relationships. Since secondary school, he has been following a binational curriculum, obtaining a German and a French baccalaureate. He afterwards studied at the Universities of Bordeaux (France) and Stuttgart (Germany). Passionate about languages, he attended different language classes. His other interests include history, geography, and international relationships. Because of family roots, Ambroise is particularly interested in the politics, culture, and history of Central and Eastern Europe. Ambroise is now planning on writing a PhD thesis.

Bilyana Yadkova

Bilyana Yadkova is a last-year student of a double Bachelor’s degree in East and Middle East European Studies and Political Studies at the University of Heidelberg, Germany. Currently, she is writing her bachelor’s thesis about terrorism and the second war in Chechnya. Bilyana is extremely interested in the EU and EU Policies but also in Western-Eastern Europe relations. In 2021, she took part in a prestigious Simulation of the EU – Model European Union Strasbourg where she had a chance to see how the EU and its institutions work and also to make a lot of connections and friendships.

Maral Kaplan holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a master’s degree in International Relations. She is currently enrolled in the specialized master’s degree programme in European Studies at the ULB.She is also volunteering as an editor at Eyes on Europe and is involved as a Youth Ambassador with the NGO ONE which is fighting against extreme poverty and inequalities. Viktoryia Andrukovich

Viktoryia Andrukovich holds a Master’s degree in Political Science and Sociology from Vytautas Magnus University. She is a Belarusian human rights and political activist. She has extensive experience working in human rights organizations and Belarusian NGOs promoting democracy, liberty, and justice. She worked at ZUBR – a platform for monitoring the electoral process, helped victims of violence after August 2020 events, documented cases of tortures and human rights violations in the framework of her work in the Committee of Investigation of Tortures, as well as actively participated in the protest movement. She currently works for several Belarusian organizations in exile.
