Bilyana Yadkova is a last-year student of a double Bachelor’s degree in East and Middle East European Studies and Political Studies at the University of Heidelberg, Germany. Currently, she is writing her bachelor’s thesis about terrorism and the second war in Chechnya. Bilyana is extremely interested in the EU and EU Policies but also in Western-Eastern Europe relations. In 2021, she took part in a prestigious Simulation of the EU – Model European Union Strasbourg where she had a chance to see how the EU and its institutions work and also to make a lot of connections and friendships.

Rauf Barkhoudarov is a second-year student of Bachelor’s degree in Law in Leuven. He follows his studies in Dutch and English. He was born in Belgium and grew up in Leuven. He speaks English, Dutch, French, Azerbaijani, and Turkish. His origin is Azerbaijani. He is interested in many different projects of the Young European Ambassadors. He is also motivated to participate in the YEAs initiative because through cooperation it raises awareness in the East European region. We have to find for our future. Maral Kaplan holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a master’s degree in International Relations. She is currently enrolled in the specialized master’s degree programme in European Studies at the ULB.She is also volunteering as an editor at Eyes on Europe and is involved as a Youth Ambassador with the NGO ONE which is fighting against extreme poverty and inequalities. Viktoryia Andrukovich

Viktoryia Andrukovich holds a Master’s degree in Political Science and Sociology from Vytautas Magnus University. She is a Belarusian human rights and political activist. She has extensive experience working in human rights organizations and Belarusian NGOs promoting democracy, liberty, and justice. She worked at ZUBR – a platform for monitoring the electoral process, helped victims of violence after August 2020 events, documented cases of tortures and human rights violations in the framework of her work in the Committee of Investigation of Tortures, as well as actively participated in the protest movement. She currently works for several Belarusian organizations in exile.

Polina Lyabiahova

Polina Lyabiahova holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Belarusian State University in the field of International Law. She currently follows a Master’s degree program in Cultural Studies at the European Humanities University. She is involved in volunteer work and the topic of drinking water contamination. In addition, she runs her own project on the subject of Belarusian ethnography and folklore.

Iva Lipovtseva

Maxim is currently studying international relations and political studies. He is fond of soft power critique and Eastern philosophy. From a young age, he has been involved in NGOs promoting democracy and human rights in his country. In 2018, he did a short-term EVS project in Cagliari, Sardinia. After graduating from high school, he spent a gap year in Vietnam where he was an intern and a teaching assistant at an educational centre for primary and elementary school students.

Shakir Abdullayev

Shakir is a senior student at ADA University. His major is Economics. At the age of 18, he worked as a Venue Operations Coordinator at the European Youth Olympic Festival 2019. Currently, he is responsible for the social media of the Diplomacy Volunteers under the MFA of Azerbaijan. He was a Chairman of the Pupil Parliament at Lyceum under Baku Slavic University. He coordinated the official visit of the Presidents of Italy and Tajikistan to ADA University and CAMCA Regional Forum 2018, organized an international model of NAM simulation exercise, gaining experience in event management. He was selected for participation at the UNCTAD Summer School in 2020 and 2021.

Ravana Guliyeva is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Regional Studies (Great Britain) at the Azerbaijan University of Languages. Ravana has been working as a youth worker and youth leader for three years and has actively participated in various local and international events. She was a simulation games representative of the Non-Aligned Movement and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. She founded Hogwart Limited Liability Company in September 2021 and now closely supports the active participation of young people in Erasmus+ projects. Ravana has a great interest in German and applied for a DAAD scholarship program to participate in an international summer language course.

Ulviyya Allahverdiyeva

Ulviyya Allahverdiyeva is an 18 year-old sophomore student at Baku State University’s Faculty of Law. Currently, she resides in the capital city of Azerbaijan, Baku. She is also a member of the European Law Students Association (ELSA) and NAYORA Law Committee. At the same time, she also actively participates in the affairs of her university by being a member of the Fraternity Committee of Students organization (THIK). During the summer of 2021, she also did an internship in a law firm called AMADE. She is also aiming to gain a Master’s degree in International Trade law.
