Nerses Hovsepyan earned his bachelor’s degree in Oriental Studies from Yerevan State University (YSU) in 2020. He is currently enrolled in Religious Studies Research Master’s Program at Utrecht University. Nerses became part of the Young European Ambassadors network in 2019 and as a YEA he has taken part in several activities in Armenia and throughout the pandemic online. Nerses has participated in a number of seminars, projects and exchanges, organized and financed by the EU and other European institutions, on a range of topics covering human rights, gender equality and active citizenship.

It is part of the larger Neighbourhood Communication Programme (2020-2024) for the EU's Eastern and Southern Neighbourhood, which also includes 'EU NEIGHBOURS south’ project that runs the EU Neighbours portal.
