Maral holds a Bachelor degree in Political Science and a Master’s degree in International Relations. She is currently enrolled in the specialised Master’s degree programme in European Studies at the Université Libre de Bruxelles.

Maral is also volunteering as an editor at Eyes on Europe and is involved as a Youth Ambassador with the NGO ONE which fights against extreme poverty and inequalities. As Maral is passionate about the European Union and its external relations, she took part in MEUS 2021 (Model European Union Strasbourg), in a study visit to Washington D.C. focusing on EU-US relations, as well as in the summer school programme of Higher School Economics University Saint-Petersburg on EU-Russia relations.

Moreover, for Maral, climate change is an important issue that needs to be tackled. She enjoyed the opportunity to work on this topic within the framework of her internship at the Belgian Federal Parliament and during an Erasmus+ training course in Yerevan, Armenia.

Maral looks forward to consolidating her learning from these experiences in her role as a Young European Ambassador.
