Mafalda is the EU YEAs Vice-Coordinator. She is a Portuguese Master’s student in International Studies at ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon, with a dissertation about the Eastern Neighbourhood. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from Nova University of Lisbon and, besides EU Foreign Policy, Mafalda is very interested in gender equality and communication. Since 2014, she is a volunteer at the Leo Club Program, having represented her national organisation internationally. Between 2020 and 2021 she was the European Student Think Tank Ambassador to Lisbon and organised several events about EU affairs. As a YEA, Mafalda aims to strengthen the initiative in the EU and to bring Young European Ambassadors from the EaP countries and the EU closer together, through the sharing of knowledge and experiences.
