Laurențiu Mutruc is studying Marketing at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (Romania). He is interested in environmental protection and has organized a series of projects, planting activities, advocacy campaigns and trainings in environmental protection and waste recycling in Bălți (his hometown), and in the fall of 2020 he created the Fridays For Future Bălți initiative group in order to create that connection between the local youth and the Local Public Authorities aiming to solve the local environmental problems. In November 2019, in Nizhny Novgorod, Russian Federation, he participated as a member of the Moldovan delegation at the 15th European Youth Parliament for Water organized by Water Solidarity Europe. Laurențiu is also a supporter of non-formal education so he is part of several teams organizing programs for young people, such as Wave Week Moldova.
