Ilina is an active teenager who is passionate about global issues such as gender equality, tolerance or respecting human rights on the local level. Ilina demonstrates this through interaction with her peers, speeches and general attitude. She endeavours to raise new ideas that could interest her colleagues while helping them develop multilaterally. Ilina considers the EU to be a structure with amazing opportunities for young people willing to work on their self-development, their realisation of core values and their active citizenship. She looks forward to getting involved in the promotion of these European values. Ilina has experience in public speaking, event planning and youth collaboration, and is keen on using these skills in her work as a Young European Ambassador.

It is part of the larger Neighbourhood Communication Programme (2020-2024) for the EU's Eastern and Southern Neighbourhood, which also includes 'EU NEIGHBOURS south’ project that runs the EU Neighbours portal.
