Azar holds a Bachelor degree in International Relations from the Azərbaycan Respublikası Prezidenti Yanında Dövlət İdarəçilik Akademiyası (The Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan). He currently working towards a Master’s degree in International Relations through a joint program organised by Jagiellon University (Poland), Masaryk University (Czechia), University of Pécs (Hungary), and Matej Bel University (Slovakia). Azar is an awardee of a fully-funded scholarship provided by the International Visegrad Fund. In 2020 he took part in internship programs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and the Eurasian Regional Centre of ICYF. His research focus includes Central and Eastern Europe and the Caucasus. Besides this, Azar is interested in ethnic minorities, refugee rights, social conflicts, and racial studies.
