Azar Haziyev holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the Academy of Public Administration (Azerbaijan). He currently pursues a master’s degree in International Relations through a joint program organised by Jagiellon University (Poland), Masaryk University (Czechia), University of Pécs (Hungary), and Matej Bel University (Slovakia). Azar is an awardee of a fully-funded scholarship provided by the International Visegrad Fund. In 2020 he took part in internship programs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and the Eurasian Regional Centre of ICYF. His research focus includes Central and East Europe and the Caucasus. Besides, Azar is interested in ethnic minorities, refugee rights, social conflicts, and racial studies.
This website is managed by the EU-funded Regional Communication Programme for the Eastern Neighbourhood ('EU NEIGHBOURS east’), which complements and supports the communication of the Delegations of the European Union in the Eastern partner countries, and works under the guidance of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, and the European External Action Service. EU NEIGHBOURS east is implemented by a B&S Europe-led consortium. It is part of the larger Neighbourhood Communication Programme (2020-2024) for the EU's Eastern and Southern Neighbourhood, which also includes 'EU NEIGHBOURS south’ project that runs the EU Neighbours portal.
