YEAs in the EU: Human Rights in Armenia – Online event

The EU Network’s Dialogue Initiative EU-Armenia and the Human Rights Working Groups co-hosted an Online Panel Discussion about Human Rights in Armenia. They were joined by 2 guest speakers:
Lilit Guroghlyan, the CEO of Qayltech – an Armenian organization which specializes in creating rehabilitation devices and assistive mobility equipment; Lilit Martirosyan, the Founder and President of Right Side NGO; the first and leading community-based rights defender non-governemntal organization advocating for transgender people and sex workers in Armenia.

The purpose of the event was to deepen the connection and collaboration between EU and Armenian YEAs by hosting an event that would allow them to come together and improve their knowledge of human rights in Armenia. By better understanding the situation of human rights, YEAs become better equipped to brainstorm local events, projects, and campaigns related to these issues. The event also sought to strengthen connections between YEAs and the local community by showcasing some of the amazing work that local organisations are doing in Armenia and be inspired by the ways that meaningful change is happening on the local level!
