YEAs in EU: National week of Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine at the College of Europe – YEAs Activities

YEAs students who study the the Collage of Europe organised three events for its students. The first one was a national Lunch event of Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine and Romania in order to promote national food and drinks. Besides, the food and wine degustation, students were offered information papers and explanations of the EaP beyond 2020 policy. The second event was High-Level Conference at the College of Europe, discussing the associated trio partnership perspectives with the European Union and Russia’s war in Ukraine. The third event was the pub quiz which was dedicated to raise awareness about the culture, politics, linguistics and history of the EaP states and Romania. Particularly, due to the nature of the national week, the focus was given on Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. Besides, among 60 questions, there were questions dedicated to the Eastern Partnership initiative. The activity has served a purpose to promote the EaP region and EU’s activities.

As a result of these events, more than 350 young people participated and learned about the national cuisine and drinks of the EaP countries, received information about the EaP beyond 2020 policy, learned more about the War in Ukraine, gained new knowledge about the associated trio and its opportunities and possible drawbacks from the experts in the field and expanded knowledge, and found out about the EU neighbors east initiative.
