The earlier previous month, YEAs Ebba Fagerlund and Nicolas Vande Kerckhove, took part in an event at the UPV (Universitat Politècnica de València) in Spain as part of the creation of the YEAs’ new partnership with AEDRI (the Asociación de Estudiantes para el Derecho y las Relaciones Internacionales, or Student Association for Law and International Relations).
The event included workshops about the Eastern Partnership (EaP) and the European Union (EU). Since AEDRI is focusing on international relations and on the EU, the YEAs had identified the potential in this partnership to make the project and the actions of the Eastern Partnership known in Spain.
As well as the Eastern Partnership in general, the workshops discussed topical issues such as energy security, and the EU candidacy of Ukraine and Moldova, with the challenges and opportunities they bring.
The meeting also discussed further partnership ideas, whether in the form of debate sessions, podcasts, talks about opportunities offered by the EU and, especially, in-person events.
