YEAs in Armenia: World Water Day Beach Clean Up in Oshakan

On 20 March, challenged by EU YEAs, Armenian YEAs did a beach clean-up activity at the bank of Kasakh river in Oshakan village. The activity was in the frames of World Water Day and aimed at raising awareness about the water issues in Europe and what the EU does to protect water resources. The aim was to teach local youth on water resources scarcity and to promote green behaviour among them, to involve local youth in a civic engagement activity, to motivate local youth to take action on tackling global environmental issues and to raise awareness about the EU action in the field. As a result, 20 young people learnt more about the importance of water resources and got involved and implemented their own civic engagement activity.
