World Environment Day celebrations in Moldova

Young European Ambassadors in Moldova celebrated World Environment Day with an exciting community activity in a village. YEAs planted 5 different types of roses in the yard of school (85 in total), designing some in circles with 12 roses to symbolise the 12 stars of the European flag. Locals were excited to get involved and were very hands-on in helping the YEAs. YEAs also cleaned the park in the school yard.

Of course no visit to a schoolyard is complete without a football match, so YEAs joined in with local students who had helped with planting the roses in a friendly match. It was lovely day of collaboration and networking with local residents, who are very happy with their new rose gardens.
