World Clean Up Day in Azerbaijan


On World Clean Up Day, Young European Ambassadors joined staff from the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan, the EBRD and embassies of the EU Member States who came together for a beach cleaning campaign.

“We came together today to raise awareness about the effects of the marine litter and call everyone to join us to protect our globe from pollution by not only cleaning up but prevention of waste”, said Ambassador Kestutis Jankauskas, Head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan. Over 200 participants worked together to clean one of the beaches in the Novkhani settlement of Baku.
