Workshop on gender roles in society — International Women’s Day 2018

8 Young European Ambassadors in Azerbaijan ran at the workshop aimed at providing a better view of the gender issues in Azerbaijan and clearer insight on the importance of gender equality for society, including its role in ensuring more sustainable socio-economic development.

The workshop encouraged participants to get involved through active participation in debates which were formulated in terms of social justice, solidarity, women’s participation and human rights. YEAs also organised group work, case studies and open discussion panels to bring out the interest and dedication of the young people in finding solutions to the social problem, and looking for pathways to a more prosperous future for Azerbaijani society.
