Wake up and green the world’ — World Environment Day 2018

As part of World Environment Day celebrations, Young European Ambassadors in Belarus teamed up with a group of local volunteers to organise a tree-planting event under the motto of “Wake up and Green the World!” A total of 17 trees were planted – one for for each of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals – in a nut farm located on the territory of Khutor Komarishki, an ecological farm located in the Postavy region. Afterwards, the Young European Ambassadors visited an old local watermill with the farm’s owner to discuss and highlight the importance of green energy in the region.
