Tree Planting in Baku — World Environment Day 2018

As part of World Environment Day celebrations, Young European Ambassadors in Azerbaijan visited school students at the English Center at School No. 23 in Baku to discuss about pollution and environmental protection. YEAs and students brainstormed possible solutions to more specific issues, such as climate change, animal agriculture, deforestation, air pollution, and soil pollution.

Each student was awarded a notepad and a “habit tracker” provided by a local producer of recycled materials ‘Green Baku.’ The following day, on 5 June, the Young European Ambassadors visited IDP’s School of Agdam District No. 81 in Baku where they engaged in a tree-planting activity and planted a total of 30 trees in commemoration of World Environment Day.
