In the last two years, the ‘EU NEIGHBOURS east’ has organised a series of ‘OPEN east media think tank’ events in the region with the goal to highlight the EU-EaP partnership and cooperation and promote the tangible benefits it offers to the EaP citizens. On 6th March the 3rd edition of the ‘OPEN east Media Think Tank’ took place in Baku with the aim to raise awareness of EU support in empowering women in Azerbaijan and to connect the media outlets and their audiences with the EU funded projects that are active in this specific area of cooperation.
The event was attended by the EU Ambassador Kestutis Jankauskas, representatives of the United Nations Development Programme and United Nations Population Fund, 20 journalists and bloggers, 3 EU funded projects and their beneficiaries, as well as Young European Ambassadors (YEAs).
