In the footsteps of women who make history’ — International Women’s Day 2019

Young European Ambassadors in Belarus conducted research in the cities of Minsk and Zaslavl and discovered that, out of 1,300 streets, only 1% of Minsk streets are named after women, and in Zaslavl, only 1 street got its name from a woman.

Within the ‘EU NEIGHBOURS east’ project’s #youcantoo campaign YEAs produced 8 videos to highlight the existing problem of invisibility of women’s contributions to society. With these videos they hope to inspire young people with the stories of outstanding women who have influenced history.
