EaP Youth Engagement Summit


the EaP Youth Engagement Summit, took place on 2-3 July, was a highlight event that aimed to celebrate and promote past and ongoing cooperation between the EU and its Eastern partner countries, investing in the future of young people, and facilitate a dialogue between policy makers and youth on the overall approach and concrete steps for the future under the Eastern Partnership.

68 Young European Ambassadors from the EU and the Eastern Partner countries joined around 500 young leaders at the Summit that took place online. YEAs got actively engaged in discussions about their role in shaping the future of the EaP. Their contribution in raising awareness about the EU-EaP relations and proactively tackling disinformation were highlighted by several speakers, including high level officials from the European Commission.

The Summit was also livestreamed at EU NEIGHBOURS east Facebok page and everyone had a possibility to comment their questions for the speakers.

It is part of the larger Neighbourhood Communication Programme (2020-2024) for the EU's Eastern and Southern Neighbourhood, which also includes 'EU NEIGHBOURS south’ project that runs the EU Neighbours portal.
