Lilli is studying towards a Bachelor degree in International Relations at Rhine-Waal University in Kleve and is currently on an exchange semester at the German-Kazakh University in Almaty, Kazakhstan. She is engaged in her local Amnesty International group. Additionally, she interned at Europa-Zentrum Baden-Württemberg and has volunteered with the European Solidarity Corps several times, experiencing firsthand the valuable contributions of young people with diverse backgrounds, working together. Passionate about security studies, international cooperation, and EU affairs, she is looking forward to promoting the EU’s relations with its eastern partners as a Young European Ambassador.

Leonie Nienhaus

Leonie is currently a third-year student at Maastricht University, where she is pursuing an Bachelor degree in European Studies. She was raised in Germany and Switzerland, and has participated in exchange programs in Russia and South Korea. These experiences have taught her that culture and shared experiences can bring people together, no matter where they come from. Leonie’s curiosity about Eastern Europe, as well as her general interest in history, politics, and art, motivated her to apply to become one of the Young European Ambassadors. She is excited about working with other young, passionate individuals who share her enthusiasm for promoting cross-cultural understanding.

Lena is currently studying Political and Social Studies at the Julius-Maximilians University of Würzburg and can add two semesters abroad in Spain and Korea to her resume. She participated in multiple Erasmus+ programs and is passionate about international political and cultural youth exchange. Formerly, she was active in a youth party and now wants to encourage politics and cooperation with the EU’s eastern partners.

Emma Pukler

Calling both Germany and Hungary her home, Emma is currently residing in Bavaria, preparing for her high school graduation next June. In her free time, she not only contributes to local initiatives in her school and community, but also finds joy in playing theatre. Elene Koreli

Elene was born in Georgia and raised in Karlsruhe, Germany. She is currently studying Public Governance across Borders at the University of Münster in Germany and the University of Twente in the Netherlands. Aside from her studies, she is actively involved in volunteering. She is the Deputy Secretary General and Coordinator of Münster University Model United Nations and she is a Global Youth Ambassador for equal education. Her main interests are peace and conflict studies and Eastern European countries.

Daria Crijevschii

Daria is an International Relations student in Germany. Since high school, she has been involved in various activities focused on Climate Change, Gender Equality and Human Rights. Currently, Daria is interested in advocating and promoting the values and culture of her home country, through participation in international projects and networking with motivated young leaders from all over the world. Therefore, Daria is trying to familiarise foreigners with what Moldova stands for and why it is a country worth paying attention to.

Damla Ceyda Uzun

Damla is in the final year of her degree in International Political Science at Leuphana University Lüneburg and Université Paris-Est Créteil. She has experience in volunteering abroad through AIESEC and the ESC. As a former AIESEC participant and current youth-ambassador for the Franco-German Youth Office, she likes to get involved in youth exchanges. She is passionate about foreign languages, cultures, music and travelling. Her academic and professional interests are about human rights, international development and preservation of cultural heritage. 

Carolina Paessens

Carolina is an International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme student at the International High School of Wrocław. Outside of school, she engages in activities such as Model United Nations conferences, speaking at past TEDxYouth events, and volunteering. As a Young European Ambassador, she looks forward to raising awareness of the development of EU and Eastern Partnership nations and supporting civic engagement projects in these communities. 

Benedikt Meier

Benedikt, a second semester law student at Heidelberg University, is an active member of the Global Shapers community, highlighting his commitment to global issues and promoting positive change. He is a dedicated percussionist and actively contributes to his community by volunteering with the “Future Day” program. He advocates for political causes. He strongly believes that effective communication is crucial for strengthening civic engagement and enhancing European Union unity.

Anna Rathfelder

Anna is currently pursuing her Bachelor degree in Franco-German Integrated Political Sciences at the Catholic University of Eichstätt in Germany and at Sciences Po Rennes in France. She is very passionate about the EU integration process. Therefore, she completed an internship at a political foundation in Brussels in 2023. During this internship, she worked extensively on the topic of EU Enlargement Policies which involved working with many young people from Eastern Partnership countries, thereby inspiring her to become a Young European Ambassador. Aside from her studies, Anna is particularly interested in sustainability. She enjoys hiking as well as travelling in her free time.

Alexandra Sophia Willemsen

Alexandra is currently pursuing a Bachelor degree in International Relations at the Technische Universität Dresden. Attending both French and English bilingual classes while still in high school led to her interest in foreign languages and international politics. Before starting her studies at university, she worked for a year as a federal volunteer in the German child and youth welfare. She is passionate about fostering cross-cultural understanding and building bridges between diverse communities. Alexandra is honored to be granted the opportunity of joining the Young European Ambassadors’ initiative and contributing to a more united Europe for future generations.

Elena Roubinski

Elena is a Master’s student in Transnational Governance with a focus on Eurasian security focus at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy. She has previously graduated from King’s College London in International Relations. She has interned in a variety of institutions such as the Council of the EU and Radio Free Europe. Elena has also participated in different youth initiatives such as l’Academie Notre Europe and the Conference on the Future of Europe. She is keenly interested in the democratic and conflict resolution processes in Eastern Partnership countries and wishes to bolster the involvement of youth and build cultural bridges with the EU.
