The EU Anti-Corruption Initiative, implemented by Danida, is seeking a candidate for the position of Programme Administrative Associate. Working under the supervision of the Head of Administration, the selected candidate will work with the team providing general support to the programme. 

 

 

 

You are expected to be an outstanding team player, who is ready to contribute to the program that will be in its inception phase and then moving into a challenging programmatic phase with extensive activities.

Main duties and responsibilities 

  •  Support the coordination of work and information between within the programme «EU Anti-Corruption Initiative in Ukraine» (EUACI) under the Project Implementation Unit;
  • Conduct research and daily monitoring of legal, political, social, and economic events, trends, and/or developments relating to the program;
  • Contribute to establishment of EUACI Office;
  • Carry out the program’s day-to-day administrative and logistical requirements, including, but not limited to, liaising on various program issues with the Head, National Experts and Finance Administration Manager as well as Danida Copenhagen programme manager;
  • Support the supervisor to develop and maintain accurate program work plans;
  • Work with other program staff to coordinate work activities, meet deadlines, and provide support where needed;
  • Assist in the orientation of new staff and consultants;
  • Support the supervisor to process, update, and maintain master files for each project in the program portfolio, including registries of all technical documentation, to be made available to program staff and management when needed;
  • Draft and review, in close collaboration with the Head of Administration and other relevant Experts in Kyiv on all procurement requests and work with Danida all procurement matters;
  • Assist with translations related to the program, when requested by the supervisor and perform any other similar duties as requested by the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in law, international relations, social sciences or other similar field is required;
  • 1-3 years of professional experience, ideally in a program support function preferably within international settings (EU, USAID, UN, INGO);
  • Experience with office set up highly desireable;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • A self-starter, able to identify improvements to working practice, make recommendations and implement change;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work constructively with several internal service departments;
  • Proven ability to see through tasks set and deliver results;
  • The ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines, flexibility and an entrepreneurial spirit;
  • Fluency in Ukrainian, Russian and English is required;
  • Keen sense of ethics, integrity, and credibility.
