Вакансия: Проектный ассистент в Управлении Генерального директората по программам (Совет Европы)


 

Under the authority of the Head of Office, and the supervision of the Head of the Media Cooperation Unit, Information Society Department, Directorate General of Human Rights and Rule of Law (DG I), the incumbent will assist with the implementation of the European Union and Council of Europe Joint Programme “Promoting media freedom and pluralism in the Republic of Moldova”.

  • Closing date: 20 February 2017

  • Location : Chisinau

 

Employment is limited to the duration of the Project which is expected to end on 16 December 2018.

 

Key activities

The Project Assistant will perform the following tasks in accordance with the Organisation’s procedures, guidelines and priorities, with a concern for quality, efficiency, accuracy and confidentiality:

  •  assists the project team in the implementation, preparation and organisation of the project activities, completing all necessary arrangements in advance and in a timely manner;
  •  provides logistical and administrative assistance to the project team, as well as experts;
  •  makes practical arrangements connected to project activities (travel, visa requests, accommodation, meeting venue bookings, local transport arrangements, interpretation etc.);
  •  handles all administrative and financial arrangements; 
  •  prepares the submission of financial supporting documents for final payment; provides any other financial information and documentation as requested;
  •  drafts and formats correspondence, Purchase Orders, Administrative Arrangements, Service Contracts and memos in accordance with instructions; 
  •  assists the Project Officer in reporting and minute writing;
  •  provides ad-hoc linguistic assistance and arranges translation and interpretation as required;
  •  assists headquarters-based staff and experts when carrying out tasks and missions in the field or working on project related matters; 
  •  organises and keeps project documents and files up to date (activity planning, official reports, expertise and other documents, outgoing and incoming correspondence, contact lists);
  •  ensures the circulation of pertinent information and documents among the project team and the Office;
  •  contributes to the efficient functioning of the office, in collaboration with colleagues and the direct project management;
  • carries out other tasks as may be required connected to the project implementation.

Eligibility Requirements

This local recruitment procedure is open to applicants already present in the Republic of Moldova.

 

Only applicants who best meet the following criteria will be considered for shortlisting.

 

Qualifications:

  • Completed full course of general secondary education and appropriate professional qualifications.

Experience:

  • At least two years of relevant professional experience; experience of administrative duties.

Language requirements: 

  • Excellent knowledge of Moldovan (mother tongue level);
  • Very good knowledge of one of the official languages (English);
  • Knowledge of French and/or Russian would be an advantage.

Nationality: 

  • Nationality of host country or one of the 47 Council of Europe member states.

Age:

  • Under 65 years of age at the closing date of the vacancy notice.
