De la aceast\u0103 dat\u0103, statele membre vor \u00eencepe \u00eenregistrarea electronic\u0103 a datelor cet\u0103\u021benilor din afara UE care trec frontierele externe ale UE pentru \u0219ederi de scurt\u0103 durat\u0103 (90 de zile \u00eentr-o perioad\u0103 de 180 de zile). Acestea vor face acest lucru \u00een mod progresiv, pe o perioad\u0103 de \u0219ase luni.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pe parcursul implement\u0103rii progresive, statele membre vor putea decide la care puncte de trecere a frontierei vor \u00eencepe s\u0103 utilizeze sistemul \u0219i c\u00e2nd. Acest lucru permite statelor membre s\u0103 \u00eenceap\u0103 s\u0103 beneficieze de noul sistem, asigur\u00e2ndu-se \u00een acela\u0219i timp c\u0103 autorit\u0103\u021bile de frontier\u0103, industria transporturilor \u0219i c\u0103l\u0103torii se pot adapta la noile proceduri.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00cencep\u00e2nd cu 10 aprilie 2026, EES va fi implementat integral la toate punctele de trecere a frontierei, iar \u0219tampilarea pa\u0219apoartelor va fi \u00eenlocuit\u0103 cu \u00eenregistr\u0103ri electronice \u00een sistem. Acesta va furniza date fiabile privind trecerea frontierelor, va detecta \u00een mod sistematic persoanele care dep\u0103\u0219esc durata legal\u0103 de \u0219edere, precum \u0219i cazurile de fraud\u0103 privind documentele \u0219i identitatea.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Odat\u0103 cu utilizarea tot mai frecvent\u0103 a controalelor automate la frontier\u0103, c\u0103l\u0103toriile vor deveni mai fluide \u0219i mai sigure pentru to\u021bi. La punctele de trecere a frontierei \u00een care este implementat EES, datele din pa\u0219aportul cet\u0103\u021benilor din afara UE, datele biometrice (imaginea facial\u0103 \u0219i amprentele digitale) \u0219i datele de intrare sau ie\u0219ire vor fi \u00eenregistrate \u00een EES.
