Aceast\u0103 sc\u0103dere poate fi atribuit\u0103 mai multor factori, \u00eencep\u00e2nd cu dificult\u0103\u021bile economice care au determinat migra\u021bia masiv\u0103 a for\u021bei de munc\u0103 din r\u00e2ndul tinerilor. \u00cen plus, schimb\u0103rile \u00een priorit\u0103\u021bile de via\u021b\u0103 au dus la c\u0103s\u0103torii \u00eent\u00e2rziate \u0219i familii mai mici. Drept urmare, rata fertilit\u0103\u021bii a sc\u0103zut semnificativ. Con\u0219tiente de urgen\u021ba acestei schimb\u0103ri demografice, mai multe ini\u021biative s-au concentrat pe reducerea mortalit\u0103\u021bii perinatale \u0219i pe \u00eembun\u0103t\u0103\u021birea \u00eengrijirii neonatale. \u00cen acest context, a fost dezvoltat proiectul de cooperare transfrontalier\u0103 finan\u021bat de UE \u2018<strong>Cea mai bun\u0103 \u0219ans\u0103 la via\u021b\u0103 pentru nou-n\u0103scu\u021bi<\/strong>\u2019 \u2013 implementat prin Programul ENI CBC Rom\u00e2nia\u2013Republica Moldova. \u201e<em>\u00cen ultimii 10-15 ani, serviciile noastre perinatale s-au \u00eembun\u0103t\u0103\u021bit considerabil<\/em>\u201d, explic\u0103 Sergiu Gladun, directorul Institutului. \u201e<em>Totu\u0219i, am vrut s\u0103 construim pe aceste realiz\u0103ri \u0219i s\u0103 ne consolid\u0103m progresul. Mamele pot \u00eengriji bebelu\u0219ii nu doar dou\u0103-trei zile sau s\u0103pt\u0103m\u00e2ni, ci uneori p\u00e2n\u0103 la trei luni sau mai mult, iar \u00een aceast\u0103 perioad\u0103 critic\u0103,<\/em> <em>este vital ca ele s\u0103 r\u0103m\u00e2n\u0103 aproape de nou-n\u0103scu\u021bii lor<\/em>.\u201d Prin oferirea unui astfel de spa\u021biu pentru mame \u0219i copii, noul departament sprijin\u0103 at\u00e2t cre\u0219terea fizic\u0103 a sugarilor, c\u00e2t \u0219i leg\u0103tura emo\u021bional\u0103 esen\u021bial\u0103, vital\u0103 pentru bun\u0103starea \u0219i recuperarea copilului. \u201e<em>Nu \u0219tiu c\u00e2t timp vom mai sta aici<\/em>\u201d, continu\u0103 Viorica, \u201e<em>copilul meu trebuie s\u0103 poat\u0103 m\u00e2nca \u00eentreaga por\u021bie de hran\u0103, astfel \u00eenc\u00e2t s\u0103 ajung\u0103 la greutatea necesar\u0103. Ca parte a proiectului transfrontalier, schimbul de expertiz\u0103 medical\u0103 \u0219i cre\u0219terea gradului de con\u0219tientizare privind sarcina \u0219i \u00eengrijirea postnatal\u0103 s-au dovedit, de asemenea, extrem de valoroase. De exemplu, datorit\u0103 colegilor lor rom\u00e2ni, medicii moldoveni au putut dezvolta noi abord\u0103ri \u0219i implementa idei inovatoare.
