Ukraine Energy Efficiency in Small and Amalgamated Municipalities

Project Description
"The Ukraine Energy Efficiency in Small and Amalgamated Municipalities" Project is aimed at assisting the municipalities of Ukraine to develop energy management plans and to improve the energy efficiency of municipal buildings and street lighting systems resulting in cost savings and environmental improvements.
Specific Objective
The specific objectives of the Project are:
• to implement a 13.5 million Euro investment programme for thermo-renovation of public buildings and renovation of street lighting systems in at least ten Ukrainian municipalities by 2024;
• to improve municipal services at medical facilities, schools and pre-schools and in street lighting;
• to develop energy management plans in participating municipalities that do not already have one.
Expected Results
The Project aims to improve the energy efficiency in municipal buildings and street lighting resulting in:
• annual energy savings of 11 000 MWh/year;
• reduction of CO2 emission of 4 700 tonnes/year;
• 330 000 citizens positively benefitting from improved services.
