Georgia: EU and UNDP invite rural entrepreneurs to join a digital business project

The European Union and UNDP are inviting rural entrepreneurs from the Dedoplistskaro, Kazbegi, Lagodekhi and Tetritskaro municipalities in Georgia to take part in a new round of the ‘Digitalize Your Business’ project.

Eight entrepreneurs, selected through a competitive process, will have an opportunity to join an incubation and mentoring programme that will prepare them for applying digital business tools in practice.

The incubation and mentoring programme will include training and consultation in an array of topics associated with business development and digital technology: business setup and management, branding, design, online marketing, online sales, communication, corporate websites, and digital tools and opportunities. In addition, rural entrepreneurs will receive support to create websites and other digital platforms for their businesses.

The initiative will be implemented by the Georgian organisations GeoLab, Innovation Support Foundation and GergArt, as part of ENPARD, a wider EU-funded programme for rural development, supporting agriculture and rural development in Georgia since 2013 with a total budget of €179.5 million.

Entrepreneurs interest in joining the incubation programme are invited to register before 18 September.
