Social entrepreneurship in the Republic of Moldova is in the early stage of development. In the last ten years, about 48 social entrepreneurship initiatives have been established, of which only four have obtained the official status of social enterprise and insertion. Although the legal regulatory framework of social entrepreneurship in the country is sufficiently explicit, it does not fully reflect the needs and aspirations of the field.
Based on the current situation, one of the priorities of the EU4Youth EUnlocking project is to improve the legal framework on social entrepreneurship in the Republic of Moldova. In this context, the project will organise a National Conference on Social Entrepreneurship on 16 February, which will be dedicated to the promotion and development of social entrepreneurship in the country, especially the improvement of the legal framework in the field of social entrepreneurship in the Republic of Moldova. The event will be organised in a hybrid format.
The project invites social entrepreneurs, young people, experts, local governments, NGOs and other interested companies, organisations and individuals to participate in the National Conference.
Time: 9:00 – 13:00, 16 February 2021 (local time)
Working languages of the event: Romanian and Russian
