EU4Business in Ukraine: grants for local authorities aiming to support SMEs


The project ‘EU4Business: SME Competitiveness and Internationalisation’, which aims to develop the support system for SMEs in cities and local communities in Ukraine, has launched a call for local authorities intending to provide systemic support to small and medium enterprises.

The competition aims to develop entrepreneurial knowledge and culture, improve SME access to national and international markets, support the introduction of innovations and attraction of funds from labour migrants and the Ukrainian diaspora abroad as investments in the creation / development of SMEs.

Local self-government bodies of communities with a population range from 100,000 to 250,000, as well as informal networks of territorial communities with a total population of at least 100,000, are encouraged to apply.

The maximum grant amount for each winning community is UAH 2 million.

The deadline for applications (Ukrainian with English translation) is 31 January 2022.

An online webinar for interested communities will take place on 23 December 2021. Please register by 22 December 2021.
