EU and Slovakia launch grant competition for regional media and media startups from Moldova

A consortium of international and Moldovan organisations invites Moldovan regional media and media start-ups to participate in a new grant programme aiming to build their capacity.

The programme is funded by the European Union and implemented by the Slovak International Development Cooperation Agency.

The aim of the grant programme is to increase the financial sustainability of regional media, including through the diversification of revenue sources, and to support the media in creating quality media content and using innovative formats.

The grants are €10,000 for start-ups and up to €20,000 for independent regional media.

Participants will also receive 90+ hours of specific consulting support, and participate in at least two specialised training sessions.

The deadline for applications is 4 November.
