Armenia: call for proposals to monitor effect of COVID-19 in closed institutions

The Netherlands Helsinki Committee (NHC) has launched a regional call for proposals under the EU-funded COVID-19 Solidarity Programme, on COVID-19 in prisons and mental health institutions.

The call will provide grants to CSOs to monitor how COVID-19 prevention and treatment measures affected the conditions of people confined in penitentiary institutions, detention and/or pre-detention centres in Armenia. This includes the full range of topics including health care, contact with lawyers, relatives or loved ones, vaccination, and other related basic human rights.

The deadline for applications is 19 December.

The COVID-19 Solidarity Programme supports civil society organisations (CSOs) to respond to the immediate and longer-term impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic in Eastern Partnership countries.
