Work-based learning in Belarus – factsheet

The English term ‘work-based learning’ has no direct equivalent in Belarusian. The terms ‘in-service training’ (an integral part of the education process when implementing technical vocational education, training, retraining and advanced training of workers) and ‘practice’ (an integral part of education programmes for secondary specialised education (SSE)) are used to designate practical training aimed at the formation and improvement of students’ professional skills.

This factsheet summarises how vocational and educational training system works in Belarus.

This website is managed by the EU-funded Regional Communication Programme for the Eastern Neighbourhood ('EU NEIGHBOURS east’), which complements and supports the communication of the Delegations of the European Union in the Eastern partner countries, and works under the guidance of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, and the European External Action Service. EU NEIGHBOURS east is implemented by a GOPA PACE-led consortium.
