Reforms of Yerevan transport system in the context of low-carbon development policy


This report has been prepared within the framework of the ‘EU for Climate’ regional program. It describes the key problems of reducing emissions from the transport in Yerevan. Based on the data available in the existing databases of vehicle registration in Armenia, a study has been conducted to describe the current situation in the transport sector. As a result of the data study, observations have been made, recommendations have been submitted, different approaches to the development of the transport sector have been elaborated, taking into consideration the reduction of emissions from the sector, and the development of alternative energy vehicles operation in Yerevan.
