A report commissioned by the Council of Europe to assist the Equality Council in the Republic of Moldova in the efficiency and effectiveness of making and monitoring its recommendations in cases where discrimination has been found to occur.
The report proposes solutions aimed at increasing the efficiency of Council`s recommendations in the context of existing resources: the changes should be implemented in the fields of culture, systems, organisation and individual situations, in terms of combating discrimination and ensuring equality.
In December 2020, as part of this framework, the Council of Europe organised an online workshop aimed at improving the skills of the Equality Council’s staff in drafting recommendations.
The report has been produced as part of the EU-funded project on ‘Strengthening the capacities of the justice sector actors to deliver justice in line with European standards, in particular to fight discrimination in the Republic of Moldova’, implemented by the Council of Europe in the framework of the EU-funded Partnership for Good Governance.
