Municipal Finance Study on Energy, Climate and Environment Sectors in Eastern Partnership Countries

The EU has published a study on the investment gaps in the energy, climate and environment sectors in municipalities in the Eastern partner (EaP) countries.

With the growing pressure of climate change, municipalities in EaP countries often find it difficult to access funding and expertise for infrastructure projects in these areas. The study looks at the key obstacles, with focus on administrative-territorial organisation and the banking sector. It presents recommendations for municipalities, national authorities and future municipal programmes in the areas of energy, climate and environment.
