Unleash your magic! European Solidarity Corps launches new song contest

On 25 January, the European Solidarity Corps launched its song contest. The contest is looking for songs, which represent the ideals, values and the true spirit of the European Solidarity Corps (ESC), which aim to bring together young people to build a more inclusive society, support vulnerable people and respond to societal challenges.

The contest is open to anybody creative and inspired by the European Solidarity Corps aged 18-31 years old. The participant should be registered on the European Solidarity Corps Portal and involved (currently or previously) in an ESC activity.

The song can be recorded directly in the European Solidarity Corps App or uploaded from your mobile phone library. The contest will be open until 10 April 2021.

Up to ten finalists will receive an ESC promotion kit and a voucher of a value of €100. In addition, a single song will be selected as the winning song after public voting in the app. The person who submits the winning song will receive an Interrail ticket to travel to up to seven EU destinations for a maximum of one month or a voucher of the same value.

The European Solidarity Corps is a European Union initiative which creates opportunities for young people (aged 18-30) to volunteer or work in projects that benefit communities and people around Europe. ESC volunteering activities are open to youth organisations and to individual young people (aged 18-30) residing in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine.
