On 8-9 July, the all-Ukrainian conference ‘Education of opportunities – new horizons of vocational education and training in Ukraine’ took place in Lviv.
The conference was organised by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and supported by the multi-donor action ‘EU4Skills: Better Skills for Modern Ukraine’ Programme.
The event brought together about 150 participants to assess the progress of the implementation of the Vocational Education and Training (VET) reform and future steps. The participants also discussed cooperation with employers, issues of management and financing of VET sector and VET schools, content of modern education programmes, perspectives of dual education, inclusiveness and digitalisation, and the role of regional VET councils.
Several practical workshops were conducted to provide new practical skills in career guidance and career orientation. Newly opened possibilities for capacity building of the Erasmus+ programme (2021-2027) in VET were also presented.
