Ukraine launches online platform to support farmers

Any agricultural producer in Ukraine can now register and apply for support through an e-room in just a few clicks.

On 12 August, with the support of the European Union, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy launched the State Agrarian Register (‘DAR’ in Ukrainian). All users registered for DAR will be able to track and apply, in real time, for support programmes available to them – from both state and international organisations.

When signed up, a farmer will also be able to check data about his/her activities, land plots, animals, etc. in his/her personal e-cabinet. All the farmer needs to register is an electronic signature”, said Denis Bashlyk, Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformations and Digitalisation.

The launch of the State Agrarian Register is an important step on Ukraine’s path to prepare for European Union membership. The register is compliant with EU guidelines for agricultural state support programmes. In addition to such obvious advantages as convenience, transparency, speed and accountability for the administration of agricultural support, DAR also provides a powerful analytical tool for analysing the actual state of agricultural production and the status of its producers“, said Frederik Coene, Head of Cooperation at the EU Delegation to Ukraine.

To apply for a support programme, an eligible agricultural producer will need to complete an online form and sign the application with their electronic signature.

The system is already open for registration at https://www.dar.gov.ua/.
