Ukraine: innovative customer-oriented solutions introduced in Vyshhorod District Court within EU project

On 5 July 2021, an integrated reception was opened in the Vyshhorod District Court of Kyiv Oblast. The court’s integrated front desk is equipped with support from the EU ‘Pravo-Justice’ project, in cooperation with the Territorial Department of the State Judicial Administration of Ukraine in the Kyiv region.

From now on, submitting and receiving documents, obtaining references, and other services are available to court users at a one-stop-shop reception desk. The key functions also include effective communication, and facilitating the visitor’s interaction with the court.

Besides, the court will be able to control the flow of visitors and address security challenges in its building, in particular to limit the out-of-court interaction between visitors and judges or court employees.

The opening of the integrated front desk is one of the points from a set of applied solutions developed by international and national experts of the Model Courts Initiative by the EU ‘Pravo-Justice’ project in order to make justice easier for citizens.

In the framework of the Model Courts Initiative, six courts were selected in 2018 throughout Ukraine, including the one in Vyshhorod, to implement, in cooperation with European and national experts, new practices in court management, enhance client service, and increase security. In 2021, another 70 courts from all over Ukraine joined the initiative.
