Thanks to the EU, more than 20 Moldovan public institutions are already exchanging spatial data

An international conference in Moldova recently presented the results of the two-year twinning project on ‘Improving Spatial Data Services in the Republic of Moldova in line with EU standards’, funded by the European Union.

Under the project, the EU has supported the development of e-government in Moldova, strengthening the national spatial data infrastructure.

All spatial data on buildings, land plots, addresses, road networks, demography and protected areas will be converted into compatible formats that will allow using them for decision-making in different fields.

Thanks to the project, over 20 Moldovan public institutions, including local authorities, are already exchanging spatial data with each other today.
