Team Europe to improve quality of local public services in Moldova

A new Team Europe initiative, ‘EU4Moldova: Local Communities’, was launched today in Moldova with a budget of €27.4 million.

The programme aims to improve the quality of life and mitigate the economic and social consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic in Leova, Edinet and Straseni districts.

Its specific objectives include improving the quality of local public services,

increasing men and women’s access to social, economic and technical infrastructure, creating business opportunities and jobs, and involving active citizens in local development initiatives.

The ‘EU4Moldova: Local Communities’ programme is funded by the European Union and its Member States, namely Germany, Austria and Poland. It is implemented in partnership with the Moldovan authorities, representatives of the business sector and civil society organisations.
