New phase of EU4Energy Governance project launched in Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine

A new phase of the EU4Energy Governance project has been launched, managed in Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine by the Energy Community Secretariat, from 2021-2024.

Throughout the action, which is part of the overall EU4Energy Programme Phase II, the Secretariat will work with national stakeholders to assist them with the drafting, transposition and implementation of energy reforms, including the Clean Energy for all Europeans Package. The targeted sectors are electricity, gas (including hydrogen), energy efficiency and renewable energy.

In order to better measure policy reforms, the project will develop and use additional implementation indicators. The project will also facilitate knowledge transfer to the relevant public authorities via various capacity building activities.

The objective of EU4Energy Governance Project Phase II is to foster the clean energy transition and decarbonisation in Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. The action will provide support through evidence-based energy policy design and through a transposition and implementation of the Energy Community acquis/DCFTA/EU best practice legal framework.
