New Head of EU Delegation arrives in Baku


On 14 September, the new Ambassador of the European Union to Azerbaijan, Peter Michalko, handed over the copy of his Letters of Credence to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov.

During the meeting, both parties highlighted the relevance of the existing ties in the framework of the Eastern Partnership and the bilateral cooperation. In this context, they also expressed their hope that the new Partnership and Cooperation Agreement unleashing further potential in the EU-Azerbaijani relations could be signed in the near future.

For the last four years, Peter Michalko served as the Head of the European Union Delegation to Moldova.
