New EU4Youth programme to promote youth employment and entrepreneurship launched in Azerbaijan

A new regional programme ‘EU4Youth: Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship’, fostering the employment and entrepreneurship of young people in the Eastern Partnership countries, has been officially launched in Baku, Azerbaijan.

During 2022-2024, the EU-funded programme will help young people improve their career management skills and build dialogue between public, private and non-governmental sectors on youth employment. In particular, the programme will focus on building the capacity of leading institutions in politics and the labour market.

It is a great chance for us to induce positive changes in youth employment policy by facilitating partnerships between different players and providing specific instruments for development of institutional capacities and fostering young people’s career management skills,” said Indira Hajiyeva, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan at the launch event in Baku.

Similar launch events have already been held in Armenia, Georgia and Moldova.

The programme is co-funded by the EU and the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and implemented by the Lithuanian Central Project Management Agency (CPMA)  in the Eastern Partnership countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine).
